We were learning to write an interesting narrative story for an audience.

First we learnt about the structure

After that we chose a fairytale to change and make our other version of. Goldie locks and the three bears.

We have been learning to find and summarise information in non fiction text by skimming and scanning.  I researched facts about Brazil and I found the information on the internet and in books. I found this tricky to find information in the books because it did not tell u all the information on the internet. My reflection - we have been learning to write a haiku and acrostic poem.
My favourite poem to write was haiku because a haiku is a short poem only 3 lines long.
The hardest poem was acrostic because you had to think of a lot of words that start with Matariki.

Dear diary

last week we did bike skills. For the 2 week so far we are like bike skills.This time it was different because the bergers went with Berdin and the people who new how to ride a bike went with Asylie. The people with Asylie we had 3 different lines the lines were green yellow wight. green won then. That was finish we went back to class.

Last week we stared bike skills for the first time when. Mrs Melville told us to line up we lined up then  the teacher come out and walked us over the bike skill. When we got there was there people. Who was teaching us to ride a bike the bergers went with berdin and asylie the people who new how to ride a bike they stared with asylie.

We have been learning about ANZAC Day.I found information about Gallipoli from the internet and used our skimming and scanning skills to find the main idears. I found this interesting because i liked when i had to write the information down.

Kung fu master

This morning on Wednesday Room 12 went to Kung fu in the hall. The first thing we did is get in to 3 lines then the Kung fu master sh/owed us a few moves.  The first thing we did is the saltue and we did another move called punch. The Kung fu master told as that Kung fu Is not to fight it is for self de and our classmates. We had to make a noise When we were punching in the air the 3 moves we did have to take our right leg and take. A step then with or left leg we have to kick it up in the air the 4 move we did is is keep up front leg. Bent like a l an the back leg not bent  then we had to hold a invisible ball the last move we had to do is switch. To our leg to the side and the other leg to the side when that was done Room 13 come in then we had to put our shoes. On then we went back to class for writing had to right about Kung fu.

I have been learning to find and summarise information. We read two non-fietion books about animals. one book was about pigs and my other book was about horses. then we used a venn diagram to compare both animals.

I found this easy because all my information was all from my book. my nest step is to have more facts about pigs and horses

My Welcome Post 2016

Welcome to my year 4 learning blog. This year I am in Room 12 and my teacher is Mrs Melville.  I enjoy my new teacher.  This year I am looking forward to going on lots of trips.  I hope you will enjoy my blog and leave lots of feedback.
